My name is Gary Wolff, and I want to use my 40 years of experience in water, energy and natural resource management to make EBMUD work better for you. (EBMUD is the East Bay Municipal Utility District -- YOUR water supplier.)
We rely on EBMUD to provide safe, clean, affordable water in socially and environmentally responsible ways. But keeping water affordable will become more difficult as we face the challenges of climate change and population growth.
I pledge that as your Ward 7 Board Member, I will:
- Work creatively to keep your water bill affordable.
- Competently and effectively represent you.
- Help with water issues that affect your life. Some issues (in addition to affordability) that I’ve been asked to help with, are: truck traffic and other work in our streets; getting more revenue from solar, wind, and in-pipe hydro; keeping parks and schools green during drought; how to use water more efficiently or more than once (water recycling).
I’ve served you before as the Vice Chair of the California State Water Resources Control Board, the Executive Director of Alameda County’s StopWaste, the Board Chair of San Francisco Baykeeper, and as a member of the Castro Valley Sanitary District Community Advisory Committee. I learned through this service how to solve real-world problems by building relationships with elected officials, chief executives and staff, community members, and businesses.
I’m asking for your support in the November 3, 2026 election.
Thank you.
